Overview
Mikey Saber, a 39-year old “suitcase pimp”, lives off of women in the adult film industry. Finding himself down and out in Los Angeles, Mikey decides to crawl back to his hometown of Texas City, Texas, where his estranged wife and mother-in-law are living. Just as this dysfunctional family seems to be making things work, Mikey meets a young woman named Strawberry working the cash register at a local doughnut shop, making him fall back into his old habits.

“Red Rocket” est un film sombre et comique sur Mikey Saber, un “proxénète de valise” de 39 ans. C’est le genre de proxénète qui vit des femmes dans l’industrie du cinéma pour adultes. Se retrouvant à Los Angeles, Mikey décide de ramper jusqu’à sa ville natale de Texas City, au Texas, où vivent sa femme et sa belle-mère. Tout comme cette famille dysfonctionnelle semble faire fonctionner les choses, Mikey rencontre une jeune femme nommée Strawberry qui travaille à la caisse enregistreuse d’un magasin de beignets local. Il retombe dans ses vieilles habitudes.
